Identifrag helps you explore alternatives to popular fragrances. Our comparisons are editorial descriptions, not promises that two fragrances smell identical.

Research and evidence

Our descriptions draw on published product information and community fragrance reports. They are not a claim of first-hand wear testing. The performance notes beside a comparison link to the sources used for those estimates.

We distinguish fragrance versions and concentrations because an Eau de Toilette and an Eau de Parfum can smell and wear differently. Where reports disagree, performance remains an estimate rather than a guaranteed result.

Reading the ratings

Accord scores describe how prominent a scent characteristic is, from a background trace to a defining feature. They are not customer review scores or a percentage match. Longevity and projection categories summarise reported wear; skin, application and formulation can change your experience. A recorded profile review date refers to that assessment, not a new test of every product or buying link.

Understanding the comparisons

A close dupe aims at a similar scent profile. An inspired alternative shares a direction while keeping its own character. A blend combines influences from more than one fragrance. A fragrance in its own right is not a copy at all: it is a release sold on its own terms that happens to share territory with the original, so compare it on its own merits and its own price.

Our editors choose this badge for a specific comparison and explain their reasoning. A buying link or a product’s position in a list does not earn an endorsement.
